Good news everyone! Today the refund is showing up in my bank as a pending item. I think I’ll have to wait for it to clear before I can use it to pay DH again, but I’m happy.

/told you God would take care of me

So yea $239.40 of my money is kind of floating around somewhere. I’m due to pay for another year of webhosting with my hosting company, dreamhost.

Now these guys have always been real good to me in the past. but I’m trying to switch plans at the same time that I’m buying another years worth of service to save a little money. (I had been on a dedicated server which is over $1000 per year..)

So basicaly they goofed up and made a completely new account for me instead of applying the money I paid them to my current account. This wasn’t clear at first so after a bit of runing in circles, we figured out that my money went to an account that I didnt know about and didn’t know the password for.

So they decided to close this account. And refund me my $239.40 that got paid into it. Sounds good. Except I havn’t recieved the refund yet.

Another guy working there confirmed for me that the first had refunded me, but my bank is still showing that they got my money and I never got it back.

So if Dreamhost doesn’t have my money, and I don’t have my money then where is it?!!

And now they’re expecting me to pay them again for the next year of service and I have a whoping $30 left to do that with. (the rest got spent on bills and BOOKS) (oh, and a pair of xfest tickets..)

So just pray for me that they get my money again and my websites don’t all die. (’my websites’ includes my sites and more than 30 sites that I host for other people.)
