this is interesting in a what-the-hell-? sort of way. ish.

my alarm clock just crashed on me.

like it runs windows or something. except it doesnt. its just a stupid alarm clock, that every now and then decided it’d rather be a paper weight.

so I unpluged it right. I figured that’l show it whose boss.

nope.

battery backup. makes it remember when my alamrm was set / that it was crashed, so that when I plug it back in it’l be just the way I left it. in this case, locked up and not telling me what time it is.

so this time I unpluged it and took out the battery. that did the trick, except that the time was set to midnight and both of the alarms were set to midnight.

so as I’m setting everything, it decides that since the alarms and the clock say the same time, it’d be smart to start making noise.

fucker.

so I get it to shut up and finish setting the alarm. but as I hit the alarm set button, it decides that I realy meant to press nap.

the nap button is on the other side of the dam thing, theres no way I accidently hit it.

so now the time is set, my alarm is set, and a 20 minute nap timer is set.

I guess its kind of like a security feature if you think about it. if some smart ass decided to go and change my alarm time, I’d know about it when my clock decides it’d be handy to tell me that my alarm got changed 20 minutes ago.

now there is a way to disable this nap timer, but I think the manuel said something about sacrificing a baby goat. so I just mash buttons untill the thing un-lights up.

so then I rember that its in cd mode, and while there is a cd in the player, it will not play said cd for an alarm unless I set the cd wake track. thats right, it doesnt default to track 1; it defaults to ‘I’ll let that fucker sleep and not play any alarm since he forgot to tel me which track he wants to hear’. what. the. fuck.

so I press the “CD WAKE TRACK” button and a 1 shows up on the screen to tell me that now its set to track 1. and at the same time the radio turns on. again, what the fuck?

Things have been goin well for me lately. A new gf, lots of music, decent grades,
and rolling out my biggest project ever at wok.

Christina is prety damn cool. she’s absolutely georgeous and very fun to be around. We met at a graduation party and we’v been going out for just over two weeks. She’s a kinda sorta atheist, which isnt so cool, but oh well; at least shes got good taste in men ;P

as far as music goes, 75minutes is hardcore awesome! I just got 37 cd’s in the mail from them for winning a contest!
I might of mentioned them before, but its a weekly podcast thats about 1 cd’s worth if indy music. as in a full cd (an about-75-minutes-long cd). basicaly they find cool bands of all these different genre and mix em all u along with a bit of commentary about the bands and whats going on in the news that past week. new episodes every sunday.

As cool as 75 minutes is, Kitty Kat Dirt Nap is even cooler. they’re an independent rock band out of Phillidelphia, AND they’re comming to my area on Agust 5th! With any hopefuly they’l get into the R-Squared show on that day with devil wears prada.

Orange Willard is, of course, the coolest band ever. I’v made it to most of the shows they’v played lately and had a damn good time at each one. And I’m even gettin people to come with me all of the sudden! I got christina into one of em – that was cool but she was a touch uncomforterable with it. meh.. what can I do? (semi-obvious answer: wait till october)

Had a great time at the youth overnight last weekend – Nate Frank Took pictures sunday morning. As always, good friends and a lot of Gods word.

As for work, we rolled out a new backoffice that me and Josh have been working on hardcore! its at my.iboomerang.com (I’ll post a guest account after we get around to making one…)

now the back office is cool, because it has a solid log in system (those are a PITA to build) and because it can accept plugins (new or old tools) fairly easily, but the really cool part is the first big plugin:

the iBoomerang E-mail Template Tool version 2. this thing is so freaking cool because it makes sending long asses repetitive emails realy frickin easy. and its all AJAX’d up and slick and such. It might not seem that cool but some of our clients realy love it, and i took the things they asked for the most in version one and integrated them all into version two as well as countles other fixes and enhancements. I like it.

for my grades, see the next post below this one – i pulled off a 3.75 for the quarter ^_^

oh, and tomorrow I’m leaving to go camping with my dad, so i might just drop off the face of the internet for the rest of the week…
